We are, this episode, we’re going to do some tier lists. It’s been a while since we did our last tier list.

What Have We Been Up To

uh it’s a handful of things uh halloween has happened as at the time of this recording I was

a cowboy for halloween and I went out and did halloween things um that’s that’s I did the voice

for some people I was all the western voice and all that um um so yeah I saddled up it was fun

um I have been playing the over magic of the game with the blobs um

you breed and you farm and you make blobs uh I may have extended thoughts on this elsewhere but i’ll

say this it’s a slow start um i’m still not at the point where I want to be where i’m really

breeding blobs but that I don’t know if it’s on me or you know I i whenever I try a new game I try to

do it on my own right um but especially these cottagecore games like when I feel like i’m

getting stuck or, you know, I’m not really progressing as much as I want.

And it might be time to read the interwebs to see if I’m missing anything.

yugioh my one of my cursed passions um so yugioh is a mess right now i’ll just say that and every

yugioh player will agree it’s it’s a nightmare high octane game at the moment um i’m not even

going to get into that what is interesting yeah all right it didn’t it wasn’t a

isn’t that isn’t that isn’t that his point though

okay it’s just it’s i’ve always i’ve always visualized yugioh is just like

it wasn’t this bad it wasn’t always this bad al it’s really you know how bad it is yeah

the card game for like insane people people who like pain

That is correct.

this would be like sonic fans complaining about something what are you doing

But there’s a point where we’re like,

this is insane for us, the insane people.

There’s the running gag for Yu-Gi-Oh! players

that the second worst thing you could do is play Yu-Gi-Oh!

The first worst thing you could do is play anything else.

anyways, um, uh, dude. Okay.

So the world championships at Yu-Gi-Oh this year, I’ll just say this,

like it’s gone to a point where it was 75 to 80% of people who went first won on

their first turn. Yeah, it’s insane.

I bring all that up because, uh, Yu-Gi-Oh master duel,

the online simulator game, um,

did an event recently called where they went back in time. They said, okay,

Any cards up to the year 2000.

2006, that is all we’re going to use in this little dual tournament challenge thing, which very fun, very cool, because that’s a very different game from where we are today.

And so a lot of people are excited because, again, the sentiment I described, a lot of people want it to go back a little bit to miss the days of old.

So people are playing this and everyone’s a little disappointed because it just doesn’t feel as fun.

And it’s interesting because the issue isn’t like so much the,

the gameplay itself,

like it’s too slow.

And I mean,

that is certainly part of it.

There’s certainly people who prefer the faster nonsense of today,

but I think part of it is just,

So back in 2006,

Rare cards people would get was different from the cards we’d be getting now.

just optimizing everything

well I have been continuing to play echoes of teradia how has been echoes of teradia and um

um I mean look okay I finished the game like I finished the story and I continued to play

after I finished the story um I i ah this I have so many thoughts and I don’t know how much

to say outside of an actual episode about the game which again will take another few weeks

time but i’m specifically holding off for micah because I think I think we need to have the

not get the best episode out of it but it’s interesting in that I i it has managed to hook

me in the way that Winds of Anthos
